1558: Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg have fined Brazil midfielder Diego 500,000 euros [£447,000] for storming out on his side at the end of last season.

1300: AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has ruled out a move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba over the summer. "We are covered in attack and hence, Drogba will not arrive," said Galliani. (Corriere dello Sport)
